On the heels of his 2 month transfer to Liverpool-based football club Everton FC (home of fellow Yank Tim Howard), comes this from Landon Donovan and, to be honest, I'm not sure where to start.
Should I address the trifling nature of the advertisement to trivialize the current border struggle, or should I investigate just one more example in a long line of Mexican stereotyping (Landon's garb and the sleeping guard slacked up against a wall), or should I express just how incredible it is that a US soccer player (and long considered the nemesis of the Mexican national soccer team) is a featured endorser of the Mexican national lottery?
There's room for all three, but I'm most flabbergasted by the latter...
